The foundational disciplines of literacy and numeracy are at the heart of the All’s Well curriculum because of the impact these have upon empowerment life chances. They rightly take primacy in daily practice. High expectations drive the design of our curriculum: we want our learners to be emboldened by the knowledge and skills of subject areas to inform their outlook on the world and their role within it.

Our educational philosophy is rooted in fostering an active and meaningful approach to learning. We aim to provide an education that is ambitious, meaningful and measurable whilst also nurturing the physical, emotional, and social development of our learners. The curriculum is designed to promote critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.

Our curriculum is structured to provide high-expectations for learners in a way that meets the needs of learners with a range of special educational needs, while also allowing for flexibility and innovation. The intended learning for each year group (Year 7 to Year 11) builds upon the knowledge and skills acquired in the previous one across core subjects such as English, mathematics, and science, as well as a range of foundation subjects, ensuring a broad and balanced education. Our starting intention is that our curriculum is accessible to learners upon entry and assesses their starting point before progressing with an active and knowledge-rich curriculum that strengthens core literacy and numeracy skills. Developing cultural capital and a sense of foundational British values is also part of the curriculum vision.

All’sWell intends to register as an exam centre with awarding bodies alongside our existing relationship with Gateway Qualifications. Decisions on qualifications our future learners may be ready to take between 14 and 16 will be considered when the potential of our intake is evaluated.

Our post-16 curriculum is built around personalised learning plans around literacy, numeracy and personal development for those who join us for specialist further education. These learning plans may focus on individual targets from a learner’s EHCP which may align with the completion of accredited qualifications between Entry Level and Level 2.

Learners with short-term placements as part of our alternative provision service may follow a blend of our core curriculum, work provided by their on-roll setting, or specific qualifications to support their reintegration.
